Bonnie McCarty (3)
Art By Bonnie McCarty – I'm a self taught artist working mainly in oils. I also work with acrylics, watercolors and pencil. My love of horses and art go hand in hand. I paint family pet portraits and figurative paintings also. I live on a small horse farm with my family in North East Georgia. We trail ride for pleasure and my daughter shows in local horse shows. Like most horse show moms I follow her around with brush and camera in hand. I get alot of my inspiration for my paintings from the horse shows. I show at local galleries and art shows here in Georgia. Commissions are welcome. (Gallery opened 6/4/10) -
Dominique Normand (3)
New academist, Quebec painter, Dominique Normand, lives in the Laurentians. She celebrates the beauty of Canadian Landscapes and honors the gift of spirit in her portraits. Her oil paintings speak a vibrant language, they reveal in suggested fashion, simple observations of precious moments in time, and draws attention to the sacred gifts of life.
She was born in Québec city, in 1960. Her experience in graphic design and animation for television and cinema became breeding ground for her paintings. After 17 years of advertising, computer animated projects and special effects, the call for matter pushed her to undertake her pictural work in printing, drawing and painting. The use of several techniques led to rich and fertile images. In 2003, she meets Khobe, master painter in the Laurentians, who introduces her to the teachings of the great masters through academic drawing, mythology and art history classes. It allows her to free her creation.

C. Tanner Jensen (3)
The “In Search of the Superlative Horse” series is a continuing body of art that reflects my passion for horses. It also speaks to my love of line and colour, form and the transparent veils that keep us separate and connected. The duality of life
It is my desire that the viewer will be engaged visually, pause and reflect on the nature of horses and possibly life.
The "In Search of the Superlative Horse" series was inspired by watching horse at liberty in the pasture and my love of dressage. Every movement that a dressage horse is taught to do is a natural movement that a horse will display while at liberty. Each painting is composed of some or all of the following watercolour, ink, asian papers, acrylic lifts,graphite,23kt gold leaf on 300lb Waterford watercolour paper. (Gallery opened 8/1/09) -
Karen McLain – Original Paintings (3)
Although I do paint subjects other than horses, it is the horse that inspires me. I have a connection with horsemanship and painting, I see them as very reflective. (Just like our relationship with our horse is reflective in nature.) I find similar elements in both, harmony, movement, balance, feel, and transitions to name a few. Our bond with the horse is very important to me. Before I start a commission, I like to know about "who" I am painting. They aren't just a bay, buckskin or palomino to me. I ask for stories about the horse and the persons relationship to the horse. This gives me more of a feel to bring to the painting.
I spend as much time as I can painting horses from life. This really allows me to see and feel the horse in a very dynamic way. (Gallery opened 7/9/09) -
